Celestine Tayiana

Child Protection Coordinator

Celestine is the Child Protection Coordinator at The Maa Trust, having moved to the Education and Child Protection department in July 2024. In her new role, she focuses on safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children within the community. Previously, she served as the WASH Coordinator, where she coordinated water, sanitation, and hygiene projects, demonstrating her commitment to public health and well-being.
Her experience spans over three years in community health services and counseling, and she has played a crucial role in community epidemic preparedness with the Kenya Red Cross Society in Narok County (2020-2021). Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Community Health and Development at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). She has earned a certificate in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene from Humanitarian Global and holds a Diploma in Community Health and Development from Thika School of Medical and Health Sciences.
As a certified professional with the National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP), her commitment lies in mitigating health risks and fostering sustainable community empowerment. Celestine aims for a healthier future for all through impactful initiatives in child protection and community health.
